Richard McArthur is your candidate for the NEW open Senate seat in northwest Las Vegas (SD 18).

Richard is a seasoned Assemblyman with a proven conservative record.  He has served two terms and two special sessions in the Assembly.  In 2011 Richard McArthur voted against the $620 million tax extension and received the highest score in the Nevada Assembly by the American Conservative Union. 

He is the right choice for your new Senator because Richard McArthur is:
  • Tough on Taxes and Spending. Taxpayers  should not be asked to give more of their hard earned dollars when they are already struggling to make ends meet.  Nevadans are having to adjust their own spending and there is no reason why the Nevada legislature should not do the same thing.  Government needs to give us more bang for the buck.
  • Tough on Crime.  Richard strongly supports law enforcement legislation and is committed to ensure parole credits do not become a free pass. 
  • Tough for Education. Our education system is not working like it should.  Less than 50% of our students graduate from high school.  We need a change in priorities.  Our children must come first.  Money should go to the classroom for students and teachers first.  Teachers should not have to pay for school supplies out of their own pockets.  Give teachers the freedom to teach.  And give parents the freedom of choice.
  • Tough on Illegal Immigration.  Our borders must be secure.  Without that, there is no national security.  It’s not fair to ask taxpayers to fund  health care, education, social services and college scholarships for illegals.  This costs Nevadans over $700 million a year.
